Utz (1988)- Bruce Chatwin
Verdict: Try it.
Kaspar Utz loves porcelain— so much so that, at any cost, he will keep and increase his collection while he lives under Nazi and Soviet control. Frequently hilarious and always fascinating, Utz is a novel about obsession and the complexity of the title character. If you like tight plotting, look elsewhere. But if you want something uniquely interesting and worthy of attention, then this is a great book to read. Try it.
