Nobody Move
Why? I’ve read funnier books, some that have made me laugh out loud every five pages, but Nobody Move was a complete surprise. I found it on a whim at Half Price Books and figured, “It sounds like No Country for Old Men, so why not try it?”
Then I found out its original place of publication, and thought like many people in the first century thought about the town of Nazareth— “nothing good can come out of” Playboy. While I don’t endorse the magazine at all, I was wrong in my judgement on its literary possibilities. Nobody Move is fast, violent, “cool,” and most surprisingly, hilarious. I had some of the biggest laughs I’ve had in a while reading Nobody Move. If you read it, I’m sure you will laugh out loud too.
