Blood Meridian
Why? This was a tough one. I’ve made it through all of Cormac McCarthy’s work and two that ended up at the top: Blood Meridian and Suttree. It’s hard for me to say which is my favorite. It really depends on the day—- as for today I’m actually in a Suttree mood. Ultimately, my decision came down to which book was probably more difficult to write. In that case the answer is obvious.
