Battlefield Earth
Why? This one goes back to middle school. I was reading this book during free time in English class. After about forty pages I was done, but I didn’t want to do anything else. So I just sat there, counted for a couple of minutes, made sure I looked like I was reading, turned a page, and repeat. After a month or so, I said I had finished reading it. I continued to tell this lie throughout high school. I even saw the (terrible) movie. Then I stopped talking about it all together.
